What You’ll Do as a Member Services Patient Advocate
This role is all about supporting patients who are dealing with balance billing issues (when they get charged more than expected after a medical visit). You’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice that helps them understand the process and guides them through resolving those bills.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Answering calls, emails, and texts from members
- Explaining billing issues and helping members understand their claims
- Keeping track of multiple cases and prioritizing your workload
- Documenting everything clearly and accurately
- Sending letters and updates to members
- Working closely with your team and reporting important updates
- Following HIPAA rules to protect patient privacy
This is a high-responsibility role because you’ll be handling sensitive health information. But don’t worry you’ll be trained and supported every step of the way.
Work Hours
You can work from anywhere in the U.S., and your schedule will depend on your time zone:
