Customer Intake Specialist Role Overview: What You’ll Do
As a Customer Intake Specialist – Extended Coverage Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for new service orders. You’ll handle data entry, verify customer details, and support evening phone coverage for Medicare Advantage services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new orders received via phone, fax, or email
- Verify and update customer information using healthcare portals
- Answer calls and emails from customers and care managers
- Cancel or modify existing accounts as needed
- Think critically to spot missing or incorrect info
- Collaborate with other departments while working independently during evening hours
Schedule Details
This isn’t your typical 9-to-5. The shift runs from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST, with the first half overlapping with the main team and the second half focused on extended phone coverage.
Note: Training during the first 30 days follows a standard 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST schedule.
