What Does a Care Adviser Do?

As a Care Adviser, you won’t be directly talking to families but you’ll be a key player behind the scenes. You’ll support Wellthy’s Care Coordinators by handling tasks that make caregiving easier for members.

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

  • Researching care options like senior housing, mental health providers, or in-home support services
  • Completing administrative tasks like organizing documents or finding resources
  • Communicating updates and progress to the internal team
  • Helping build internal guides and tools that make caregiving smoother
  • Collaborating with teammates to solve problems creatively
  • Learning and growing into specialized areas like medical care, mental health, or veterans’ support

You’ll report to a Care Manager and work closely with other team members to make sure every task is done with care, accuracy, and speed.

Who Is This Role For?

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years of experience in healthcare, caregiving, customer service, or admin work
  • Holds an associate degree or higher
  • Has worked remotely before and is comfortable using tools like Zoom, Slack, and Google Suite
  • Is curious about technology and open to learning how AI can improve caregiving
  • Enjoys solving problems and working independently

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Nice to Have):

  • Experience in housing, medical billing, mental health, or veterans’ services
  • Speaks more than one language
  • Has supported complex healthcare situations before
