Overview: This full-time transcription role involves transcribing portions of Health Plan member responses to IVR calls using proprietary tools. The position ensures compliance with HIPAA and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe IVR responses including survey responses, medical conditions, and prescription drug names.
- Transcribe recorded audio from phone-based interactions.
- Complete strategic transcription marking projects.
- Report member “do not call” requests to the transcription manager.
- Escalate member reports of adverse events and negative or life-threatening comments to the appropriate program manager.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and company standards.
- Complete all responsibilities outlined in the annual performance plan.
- Perform all special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- 1-2 years of transcription experience.
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute accurately.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
- Access to high-speed internet; all other equipment will be provided.
Schedule:
- Initial hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern for the first week (training period).
- Post-training: Flexible hours as long as a 40-hour workweek is maintained.
