Online learning platform Study.com hires article reviewers, editors, researchers and article writers. Now working for study.com you would actually be a freelancer. As an article reviewer for study.com, you would be responsible for proofreading standardized exams and test prep products.
Now you do need a laptop and internet, and you also need writing and proofreading experience. Now what’s cool about this is that they pay twice a month and you do not need to interview to be a freelancer.

2. Rev.com
If you’re good at transcribing, this could be a great opportunity for you. They also hire freelancers or contractors to do transcribing work.
You would be transcribing audio files and video files and rev.com has been around for a long time.
They have a large network of freelancers that are doing transcription work for them on a daily basis and in order to get hired by rev.com, you would need to fill out a simple application and then take an online test to test your grammar and transcription skills.
If you pass the test, you can actually start working immediately.
Now, since you are a freelancer and you are doing transcription work, the way they pay is based on per audio or video transcription minute.
So you could make anywhere from 30 cents a minute all the way up to a dollar 10 per transcribed minute.
So the faster you can transcribe and the more work you can do, the more money you could potentially make.

Appen is a evaluation company and what they do is they provide machine learning and artificial intelligence services to businesses.
So the position that they are looking for is what’s called a search engine evaluator.
So as a search engine evaluator, essentially what you would be doing is performing online searches through search engines, and then your job is to provide detailed feedback and let them know the quality of the results and the quality of the search experience.
So essentially companies are hiring Appen to have people like me and you search their websites to make sure that everything
is running properly.
On average search engine evaluators with Appen are making around $23 per hour and now in order to get hired by Appen, you would need to fill out an application online as well as take a short qualification test.
Their registration process is fairly quick. So once you pass the test, you could actually get working as a search engine evaluator right away and they offer a flexible schedule.
So you can do this job on your own time, which is fantastic and once you do get hired from Appen, of course you’re gonna need a
desktop or a laptop computer.
But what’s really cool is you can actually search the various jobs and find the opportunities that best match your skill sets and your interests.

So Rev, which we talked about before, pay per minute, whereas Transcribe Me is gonna pay you based on the hour and with Transcribe Me, you’re typically gonna be transcribing shorter videos and shorter audio clips.
Whereas Rev, you could be transcribing a YouTube video that’s 10, 20 or 30 minutes long and to get started with TranscribeMe, you simply need to fill out the application as well as take a short test, so they can make sure that you do know how to transcribe.
Also, they wanna test for your accuracy and to see how fast you are at doing this work and another big bonus is that TranscribeMe actually pays every single week.

Now this is another online tutoring website, but the difference is they are actually helping students who are looking to learn English and you don’t need any kind of teaching certification to get hired with Cambly.
You can earn anywhere from 10 to $12 per hour. So not a lot of money, but this is a great opportunity for those who are just looking to make maybe a little side hustle income and you can do the tutoring on your own schedule, which is great.
So if it’s nights you’re looking for, or maybe weekends, it’s a great little side income and Cambly pays tutors through direct deposit or you can even have the money deposited into your PayPal account.
Now one thing to note is you do have to fill out an application because they need to assess your English skills and you do have to submit a one to three minute long video just telling them a little bit more about yourself.
If you pass the test and all goes well, you can start working immediately and you can take on tutoring positions based on your own time schedule.
