What Does an Early Engagement Specialist Do?

This role is all about helping new customers (called “Pros”) get started with Housecall Pro’s software. You’ll be their first point of contact, guiding them through onboarding and making sure they feel confident using the product.

Your daily tasks include:

  • Making 70+ outbound calls or spending 5+ hours talking to customers.
  • Helping Pros understand how to use the software step-by-step.
  • Listening to their needs, solving problems, and building trust.
  • Spotting accounts that might need extra help and escalating them.
  • Staying updated on product changes and adapting quickly.
  • Working closely with your team to deliver a great customer experience.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

This role is great for someone who’s:

  • Worked at least 1 year in customer support or onboarding.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls (sales experience is a bonus).
  • A strong communicator in English both speaking and writing.
  • Curious, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Professional and adaptable in fast-changing environments.

Education-wise, a high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
